Where to start?

There are many differing opinions on how to start a novel. Everyone has a different route to the end result. 

The snowflake method, charting, character driven via complete run down of character traits. 

 I love the quote: 

"Writing is like driving at night in the fog. You can only see as far as your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way."  E.L. Doctorow

That's kinda my method. I believe in following the narrative. For the most part I know where I'm starting, and I know the vicinity where I'm ending - but I have no idea what pit stops I'll make in the process. 

But... I have considered changing my way...and incorporating some new things I've learned. 

At any rate... I'm happy to be diving back into my work in progress and to feel that AWESOME drive that comes from writing. OH how great that feeling is. AHHHHHH
